One Community. One Legacy. One Historic Year.
Whether you are an alum, parent, student, staff member, donor, or friend of BSA, this celebration belongs to you. Use this page to stay connected with everything happening throughout our 100-year anniversary, from Lotería and the 5K Walk/Run to the Legacy Museum, volunteer opportunities, community updates, and special announcements.
Blessed Sacrament Academy began in 1926 as an all-girls high school serving the families of San Antonio’s Southside. As generations came and went, the mission continued to grow alongside the needs of the community it has always called home.
What began as a school became something far greater, expanding into early childhood education, family support programs, and Por Vida, a second-chance high school dedicated to helping youth rediscover hope and build brighter futures.
For 100 years, BSA has remained rooted in compassion, opportunity, and community. As we celebrate this milestone, we also look ahead to the next generation of children, youth, and families who will continue carrying this story forward.

As part of our 100-year anniversary celebration, Blessed Sacrament Academy will host a community-centered 5K Walk/Run bringing together alumni, families, students, staff, and supporters from across San Antonio.
More than just a race, this event is an opportunity to celebrate the generations of lives connected to BSA while helping support the future of our mission for years to come.
For the past several years, Blessed Sacrament Academy has proudly hosted our annual Lotería event as part of The Big Give, and each year it has continued to grow, sell out, and bring our Southside community together in such a special way.
This year, we are excited to make Family Lotería Day part of our 100-year anniversary celebration, honoring the generations of students, families, teachers, alumni, and supporters who have helped shape Blessed Sacrament Academy over the past century. As a longtime Southside tradition, Lotería feels like the perfect way to celebrate the heart of our community while creating new memories together.
While this year’s event will be bigger and expanded to welcome even more families, our goal is to keep the same warm, familiar atmosphere people have come to love over the years, just with even more fun, celebration, and community spirit. Guests can look forward to a family-friendly afternoon filled with traditional Lotería, lunch, music, prizes, laughter, and special centennial touches throughout the event.
As plans continue to come together, additional details regarding the official date, location, ticket information, volunteer opportunities, and sponsorships will be shared here as they become available.

Blessed Sacrament Academy Legacy Museum
The Blessed Sacrament Academy Legacy Museum will serve as a tribute to the generations of students, sisters, educators, families, and community members who helped shape BSA over the past 100 years. As part of our centennial celebration, the museum will preserve and showcase the rich history of our campus, from the arrival of the Sisters in San Antonio, to BSA’s years as an all-girls high school, and the nonprofit organization it is today, including our Child Development Center and Second Chance High School.
Through photographs, uniforms, yearbooks, memorabilia, and historical displays, the Legacy Museum will honor the stories, memories, and impact connected to Blessed Sacrament Academy while inspiring future generations for years to come.
Details are coming soon regarding memorabilia donations and requests, sponsorship opportunities, and the official announcement of the museum’s future location.
BSA Alumni
The Blessed Sacrament Academy Alumni community is the heart of our legacy. For the past 100 years, generations of students, families, educators, and supporters have helped shape the story of BSA, and we believe those memories deserve to be preserved and celebrated.
As we prepare for our centennial celebration and the future Blessed Sacrament Academy Legacy Museum, we invite our alumni to help us tell the story of BSA through personal memories, photographs, yearbooks, memorabilia, and historical stories that reflect the impact this community has had across generations.
