Child Development Center

We provide a nurturing, structured early education where play, curiosity, and caring relationships build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

OUR MISSION

At Blessed Sacrament Academy’s Child Development Center, our mission is to provide every child with a safe, nurturing, and engaging place to learn and grow. We believe that early childhood is the foundation for confidence, curiosity, and long-term success. Our goal is to support children as whole learners — socially, emotionally, creatively, and academically — while helping families feel supported and empowered along the way.

Play-Based Curriculum

We believe children learn best through hands-on discovery. Our classrooms are filled with opportunities to explore through art, music, movement, sensory play, imagination, and meaningful social interaction. Through guided play, children build problem-solving skills, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Learning Begins

at Birth

With our youngest age groups starting at just six weeks of age, Blessed Sacrament Academy Child Development Center believes that learning is crucial at every age and stage of development. Our infant and toddler room teachers offer children loving care, as well as sensory stimulation through exposure to music, colors, counting, and social interaction.

Kindergarten Ready

Early education includes preparing for Kindergarten, by introducing a more structured learning curriculum in a classroom-style setting. Students will learn sight word recognition, phonetic recognition, letter and number identification, simple math memorization, and additional enrichment through music, art, and other creative lessons.

Authentic Learning experiences

Sensory play and outdoor exploration are crucial to developing curiosity and exploration in young minds. Our Sensory Garden gives students the opportunity to go outside and connect with nature. They learn about plants, insects, and animals as they marvel at the beautiful sights, sounds, smells, and textures in the garden.

Music, Art & Movement

Hands-on experiences like music, art, and movement play a vital role in early education. They support language development, reading skills, memory, and visualization, while also fostering creativity and social interaction. At BSA, our teachers guide children in singing together, creating artwork, and exploring their imaginations — celebrating their masterpieces both at home and on the walls of their classrooms.

Healthy Minds-Healthy Bodies

Young children are FULL of energy - and channeling that energy into structured physical play and activity is a vital part of our day. Children have multiple opportunities each day to wiggle, jump, skip, and run to their heart’s delight.

The BSA Child Development Center is a Texas Rising Star certified childcare provider, and as of this year we are also preparing to receive NAEYC Accreditation. This means that we have high standards when it comes to providing care for your children, and that includes high standards for nutrition. With help from a nutritionist from the Early Head Start program, we make sure that every meal and snack served to our kids is nutritious and balanced, with whole grains, fresh fruit, and plenty of protein.
