JFS is a nonprofit organization that provides mental health services for children and adults. As a United Way agency, JFS services all individuals and families regardless of religion, race, economic status, background, gender or sexual preference.
Counseling is offered to clients of all ages with a wide range of problems including parent/child conflicts, depression, anxiety and ADHD.
Clients can be seen for individual, couples, family or group treatment based on individual needs. Psychiatric services are available to enrolled counseling clients.
JFS has special expertise in anger management issues, eating disorders, trauma resolution, play therapy, couples counseling and grief counseling.
Services are affordable. Clients may use an income based sliding fee scale or third party payers. Most private insurance plans as well as Medicaid, Medicare and CHIP are accepted.
