Child Development Center

The Child Development Center at Blessed Sacrament Academy provides affordable childcare educational programs for children in an exceptional setting.

Located on the Southside  just five minutes from downtown San Antonio, our Child Development Center (CDC) is almost “along the way” for many of our families as the adults go to work or school–both requirements for families seeking childcare assistance.  CDC makes sure children are safe and learning.

The children range in age from six weeks to five years. The parents range in age from teens to grandparents raising their grandchildren. Breakfast, lunch, snack and a nap provide the healthy energy needed to for their 7:00 am – 6:00 pm day. Large outdoor playgrounds, ample colorful daycare rooms, teachers and aides who receive ongoing training bring together a wonderful place for a curious, inquisitive child to spend the day, five days a week, 52 weeks a year.

“My son absolutely loves his teachers, assistants, and Grandma’s @ BSA. We enjoy how family oriented the entire staff is and how well they have worked with my son. I’m so blessed that my family has found and become part of this child development center and community.” Current Parent

The Foster Grandparent program from Catholic Charities adds a wonderful dimension to these children’s lives. Some of the children find it easier to share a toy then to share “my” grandma or grandpa.

Howdy! How are you doing? I have been kind of down and don’t know why. Never imagined my Blessed Sacrament would be what it has become. I know what it means to have a good day care and school for our children. When I lived in San Antonio I. Could not find a day care for my 18 mo old son. Marbach Christian Church took him. I ended up in the ER last night. We thought it might be a heart attack. After tests were run, the doctor said everything was okay, thank God. Well, just wanted to say hello. Take care and I will stay in touch.

I see this was written in February, i hope things are better for you here in June. I pray for you and your children. Remember God does have a plan and as hard as it can be for us… in it, pray through it, and ask others to pray with you. God bless you!
